Oakville Ontario has become a premier lakefront destination for families around Ontario and worldwide who desire a safe, enjoyable town with rich history and great schools. Over the years, MLS Oakville has reinvented itself from a classy suburb of Toronto into a thriving business hub and culturally rich community. This economic prosperity and desirable lifestyle has resulted in real estate values increasing year over year, attracting high-end real estate investors and families alike.

Many internationally renowned companies have recognized Moving to Oakville and MLS Oakville as a great place to operate. These include the head office and automobile manufacturing plant of Ford Motor Company of Canada, the headquarters of Tim Horton’s coffee shop, the Canadian head office of Siemens, and GE Water & Process Technologies. In addition, major employers such as Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning (the 6th largest employer in Oakville), Mattamy Homes, and the Regional Municipality of Halton government offices represent a foundation of consistency that the business sector of Oakville can be proud of.

Education is a large factor in making Oakville a desirable place to raise a family. Sheridan College’s main campus on Trafalgar Road is widely known for its animation, and is Canada’s largest art school. It is home to over 9,600 students, and is currently aligning itself to become a university by 2020. Appleby College is renowned country wide as an elite private school with an excellent international reputation. In fact, it’s the only Canadian member of the G20 Schools.

Homes in MLS Oakville have gone up in value at an above-average rate over the years, and appear to be stable in recent months when other Greater Toronto Area markets are declining. With the average sale price of a detached home hovering around $1,400,000, townhomes around $700,000, and condos averaging close to $500,000, the market represents a stable investment as there are always buyers looking to get into this great community.

Overall, Oakville has developed into one of the premier places to live in Canada (see MoneySense article: http://www.moneysense.ca/canadas-best-places-to-live-create-your-own-ranking). It’s affluent population, thriving arts scene, low crime rate, great schools and desirable weather combine to create a perfect place for families to raise kids and enjoy everything this waterfront lifestyle has to offer.

Bronte is known for it’s waterfront lifestyle. With it’s own downtown area complete with shops, cafes, and restaurants, Bronte offers a unique small town feel in one of Oakville’s oldest areas.

The neighbourhood of Clearview, otherwise known as Sherwood Heights in Oakville is on the eastern border of Oakville, north of the QEW, south of Upper Middle Road and east of Ford Drive. Built in the 1980’s and early 1990’s, Clearview is a great little area for families to enjoy.
Falgarwood is a fantastic area full of reasonably prices homes in the Oakville area. Because it was developed relatively early, the homes tend to be a little older. That said, with it comes great value in a mature neighbourhood. An abundance of parks, trails, and trees lend to many homes in Falgarwood having extremely private yards on greenspace.
Ford Drive

I would recommend Jamie and his team to anyone looking to buy. They are intimately familiar with the market (Oakville for me) and can give you a great understanding of what’s to come and the approach to take.

“They sent us emails even before the houses were on the market and provided us valuable advice

He helped us find a new house to move in in a short time most of the time sending us the emails even before the houses were on the market and providing us valuable advice. He helped us navigate a very difficult house sale, always being close to us so I consider him not only our agent but our friend.

We had very particular asks and they were able to accommodate our desires and focus our search

They came to the table with location, community, layout and renovation recommendations which proved to be invaluable. On top of everything else, they guided us through the entire process with a smile. Besides their sharp professionalism and attention to detail, they brought personality, humor and levity to every single day.

As first-time home buyers, it was important that we worked with someone who was knowledgeable and who was willing to take the time to walk us through the process. The Jamie Vieira & Associates team made us feel like we were a priority and took the time to listen to our needs.
